Daegu, 18. October 2018. The IUC Asia project was invited to explain the Global Covenant of Mayors (GCoM) during a training for city practitioners hosted by Daegu City Council, the Ministry of Environment (MoE) and the Korean Environmental Corporation KECO.

Ms Hejung Jung, acting IUC country coordinator, delivered a presentation about the GCoM and met with experts from KECO in order to define a possible cooperation. Discussions were also held with representatives from Suwon – a GCoM member city – as well as from Jeonju city.

Korean experts were especially interested in knowing the added value of the GCoM to their own climate change actions.
