The IUC project team met with local authorities from the IUC pilot cities of Guangzhou and Yangzhou to discuss the implementation of pilot projects.

In Guangzhou, meetings were held with representatives from Guangzhou Development District (GDD). Mr. Donminique Li from Global Start explained the main cooperation areas with the European cities, namely mobility, hydrogen energy and biotechnology. GDD is interested in hosting European start-ups to test their solutions at GDD incubation centres.

In Yangzhou, meetings were held with the local Development and Reform Commission (DRC) and focused on the Yangzhou Horticultural Expo 2021. Meetings were hosted by Ms CHENG Zhaojun, Deputy Director General at Yangzhou DRC.
