The Smart City Lab of Rome and Lazio – co-funded by the European Union’s regional development fund – launched the EUROPE ASIA SMART PLATFORM to facilitate scientific and technological cooperation among researchers, small and medium enterprises, start-ups and investors from Lazio and China. The platform allows to identify potential candidate applications for technology exchange in target business fields and to contact identified companies, thematic experts and projects.

The City of Rome – in coordination with the regional economic development agency Lazio Innova – strongly involves business representatives in the cooperation with Chinese cities. This has led to the cooperation of smart city platforms from both sides, including Uniorange Jereh (external link).
