In cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), the IUC team organised an onsite and online workshop for 50 Chinese practitioners from Yancheng City (Jiangsu Province). The event was a follow-up to the online discussion between Chinese and European Experts organised on 28 May 2020. Over 30 participants joined the meeting via live streaming. Experts from China and Europe have exchanged policy views and best practices on resilience and adaptation to climate change, with a focus on green infrastructure and sponge city solutions. The event was opened by Mr. Octavian Stamate, Climate and Energy Counsellor of the EU Delegation to China as well as by Mr. Wei JIANG, Deputy Mayor of Yancheng.
