Bucharest, 15. April 2019. A high-level delegation from China led by NDRC Vice Chairman Luo Wen met with Gabriela Voicila, State Secretary at the Ministry of Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, as well as with further experts from the Romanian national government. Both sides established communication on various topics including innovation/smart specialization, support to start-ups and SMEs, and equal treatment to foreign investors. Especially the new PPP regulation of Romania had been introduced and an initial discussion on a possible MoU with NDRC with regard to PPP cooperation had been mentioned during the meeting. The Romanian side proposed to send a list of 31 concrete PPP projects in Romania to NDRC. Vice-Chairman Luo Wen committed to forward this information to the right contact within NDRC for further communication.
Both sides also discussed un upcoming visit of Deputy Minister Voicila to Beijing, including a possible follow-up meeting with Vice-Chairman Luo Wen/ or another Vice-Chairman. The International Cooperation Department of NDRC will be in charge of further communication for this meeting.
