The IUC team supported the visit of Mr. Christian Specht, First Vice Mayor of Mannheim to Chongqing 14th – 17th August.
Mr. Specht met with Mr. OUYANG Lin, Deputy Director General of Chongqing DRC, who visited Mannheim in June 2017 during the IUC work meeting in Europe. Three goals of cooperation were discussed:
- Building a direct railway line between Chongqing and Mannheim
- Setting up a Chongqing representative office in Mannheim
- Organizing a conference in the two cities on economic cooperation topics
The team organized visits to the Internet Industry Park and Yufu Industry Park in Liangjiang New Area, as well as meetings with businesses to explore cooperation opportunities. Especially important was the meeting with Yuxin’ou Logistics Company, which operates the Chongqing-Europe international railway).
